Starting Pitchers

The Dodgers have 4 quality, top-of -the-rotation pitchers on their pitching staff and a hot rookie prospect who's biding his time in the bullpen in Carlos Monasterios. The bad news about this bunch is that there is no clear cut #1 ace. What they do have is a bunch of guys that are at their worst a solid #2 on any staff.

Leading the way is Dodgers 22 year old phenom Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw was 13-13 with a 3.36 ERA last season. Those numbers don't start great but if you ever watch him pitch you'll see why Kershaw has the whole league drooling. He's got an above average fastball, a devastating curve ball and an in progress change up and when he puts everything together he's going to be lights out. Until then the Dodgers are without a bonafide ace. For the rest of the season preview go to: Los Angeles Dodgers 2010 Baseball Preview
