From: LA Dodgers Hat
I'm not sure what's more interesting sometimes the baseball regular season and playoffs or the off season and all the speculation that usually proliferates most of the winter of which teams will make huge trades and which free agents will sign with what teams and for how much...
Well it didn't take the LA Dodgers long to notify John lackey that no time soon would he be wearing a LA Dodgers Hat.
The Dodgers went so far as to claim that they would be making no "outlandish" deals during such a rough economy...
I'm sorry but as a Dodger fan that just chaps my hide...
The LA Dodgers aren't feeling this turbulent economy nearly as much as many other teams and Dodger fans still showed up in droves to Dodgers stadium this year.
What the LA Dodgers may be feeling is the divorce of Frank and Jamie McCourt...
So while the LA Dodgers may not be going after John Lackey there is plenty of speculation that they have set their sites on making a deal for Toronto Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay and right now the rumor is that the trade would at least cost them Chad Billingsley and others!
From the looks of it right now it seems like the Blue Jays are looking for a little too much for Halladay and I hope the Dodgers don't give up the farm to get this guy. Billingsley and maybe Russell Martin and that's it no more blue chip prospects... I wouldn't deplete the farm system for this guy because you still have to pay him since he only has one year left on his contract!
