Because of the well known "East Coast Bias" that prevails in baseball and ESPN in particular I guarantee you that there were some Chicago Cubs fans last night that were thinking that last nights game against your LA Dodgers was in the bag...
I Mean if you're not a hardcore baseball fan living in the mid-west or the east coast you don't know who the hell Chad Billingsley is right? I guarantee you one thing... Chicago fans know who Chad Billingsley is today. He's the guy that out pitched their horse Carlos Zambrano.

I love the way Chicago fans came out strong at the outset of the game. I mean that city really wanted that win last night and I think the way they came out they really felt with their horse, Zambrano, on the mound that they were going to win last night...
It only took 2 innings last night for the LA Dodgers to punch the fight out of all the fans at Wrigley Field last night. There was dead silence pretty much the rest of the night as this Los Angeles Dodgers Team went onto route the Chicago Cubs.
Man to say Chad Billingsley has come into his own this year is a huge understatement. This guy is pitching like an ace and last night he did it on the road and against probably the most intimidating pitcher in baseball. Billingsley went 6 innings last night giving up one run and striking out 7.
Some other observations...
Russell Martin's been coming up clutch hitting 3 RBI last night and a home run in game 1...
Rafael Furcal is back... Did you see that bunt for a base hit last night?
Manny is being Manny and with the rest of the Dodger lineup coming up with clutch hits the opposition is going to have to pitch to him... Not good if you're a Cubs fan
Jeff Kent sitting on the bench is a statement if you ask me. Either he' injured or Joe Torre doesn't want to disrupt the chemistry that he's seeing on the field because Blake Dewitt ain't exactly tearing it up going 0-4 last night. Mark my words Jeff Kent will come up with a clutch hit before all is said and done. his old ass is going to limp up there the way Kirk Gibson did in '88!
Joe Torre has to be loving the fact that he's in the playoffs for the 13th straight season and the New York Yankees are sitting at home.
Personally I can't wait for game 3. I can't wait to see how Hiroki Kuroda does. I don't doubt he'll bring his best stuff I just don't know if his best stuff will beat this Chicago lineup but it sure is possible. And I think if you're Joe Torre you have to have a quick hook if Kuroda falters. I mean you have Clayton Kershaw, Greg Maddux and Chan Ho Park all ready to eat up some innings. I don't think you can go wrong with anyone of those guys and I should note that Torre hasn't announced who will be starting in game 4.
