LA Dodgers Clutch Up And Win Game One

by on October 1, 2008

Guys I have to admit I wasn't a believer in the LA Dodgers before last night but man am I starting to believe...

Derek Lowe was lights out tonight and right now he's showing you why you have to sign him to come back next year because he's a free agent after this year if you didn't know.

Derek Lowe is a big game pitcher. This is the same guy that pulled the Boston Red Sox free of their friggin' curse!

But what i didn't see coming was the shot by James Loney. Friggin' grand slam, down 2-0 against a pitcher in Ryan Dempster that was dealing? All i can say is that was clutch. Props to Loney... I didn't think he had it in him.

I didn't like how the Cubbies came after Andre Ethier and didn't really give Manny much to hit all night. Ethier's gonna have to clutch up or personally what I think should happen is Joe Torre should slip Jeff Kent into the 4 slot. I like Ethier but you need somebody who's been there before and will make you pay for pitching around Manny. Ethier was 0 for 3 last night and he had runners on base all night...

It should be interesting to see how Chad Billingsley does tomorrow because he's going against a beast in Carlos Zambrano and he's going to need his best stuff. Zambrano's gonna be pumped you better believe that! But I do have to admit this LA Dodgers batting lineup is deep. Friggin' Casey Blake was batting 8th last night!
