Los Angeles Dodgers Talk From Around The Web

Clayton Kershaw And Chad Billingsley Are The Future Of The LA Dodgers

Living in LA and being a Dodgers fan has been hard lately particularly with the crosstown rivals the Los Angeles Angels (by the way shout out to a fellow Blogger at: Angels Baseball Talk) boasting such hot, young pitchers like Jered Weaver, Joe Saunders and Ervin Santana...

Well... This weekend the LA Dodgers displayed 2 of the most touted pitchers to come along in quite some time to don a Dodger Jersey.

Clayton Kershaw may not be a finished product but he's one hell of a major league prospect complete with a knee buckling curve, 95 mph fastball and a pretty damn good change-up and without-a-doubt the most exciting left hander to pitch for the Dodgers since Sandy Koufax!

Kershaw had an excellent major league debut going 6 innings, giving up 2 earned runs while striking out 7 this past weekend...

Clayton Kershaw sports Dodgers Jersey # 54... keep an eye out for him... you won't want to miss this exiting 20 year old phenom left-hander.

Chad Billingsley is the other hot pitching prospect the Dodgers have been waiting on for quite some time now and he came through for the LA Dodgers last year with somewhat of a breakout season going 12-5 with a 3.31 ERA.

Billingsley has great stuff, he throws the ball hard, he has tree trunks for legs and he drives through pretty much all of his pitches...

His BIG problem is the first inning and the fact that he relies on his "stuff" way too much. He needs to learn how to put his best stuff down in the strike zone and basically let his defense play behind him...

Besides Billingsley and Kershaw though the LA Dodgers are thin at pitcher in the minor leagues so far as talented prospects go...

Chad Billingsley and Clayton kershaw are the 2 pitching prospects the LA Dodgers have been banking on for some time now and if this weekend is any indication, the LA Dodgers future looks bright.
